Welcome to Case Garden Center

It all started in 1890, when great grandfather, Robert Case Sr. opened Case Farms and grew produce which was sold in local supermarkets and processing facilities like Lyndon Products in Ontario. In the mid 1950s, when Robert and his wife Sybil died in an auto accident, Jerry Case's father took over the farm along with his mother, Dolores.

Dolores had a small roadside stand in front of the family house(at that time 2593 Norton St) where she sold baskets of tomatoes & peaches, strawberries, corn and whatever other veggies in season. The farm was run by Jerry Sr. with the help of his sons, Jerry, Don and Bob. Shortly after graduation from high school, Jerry married and took over running the farm, moving the roadside stand up the street to 2511 Norton street where it stayed until the mid 60s when Jerry built a 4-car garage that served as the new produce stand and for the 25 years sold the full line of homegrown veggies and fruit as they came in season.

In the early 1980s as roadside stands started to become obsolete due to increased popularity of SUPERMARKETS like Wegmans, Star Market and Tops, we started selling plants. Every year for the next five or six years we added one or two greenhouses until we got to our current size of about 100,000 square feet under plastic, or 11 greenhouses, where we grow "a little bit of everything" including, annuals, perennials, veggie plants, flowering shrubs, hostas and 50-60 additional types of plants. In addition to our greenhouses, we have 11 acres of land where we hand plant and hand-harvest many different types of produce. And when we say "hand-planted" and "hand-harvested", that's exactly what we mean. We do things the old-fashioned way.

In 1990 we stopped selling fruits and veggies and switched over to growing mainly plants, due to increasing demand. With the popularity and increased growth of plant sales, we built our current garden center demolishing the old 4-car garage Case's Farm Market and opened our new and spacious, fiberglass-covered Case's Garden where you don't get wet while you shop and you can take your time to explore our varied selection of flowering plants.
